nf screamawards Enter To Attend The 2010 Spike TV Scream Awards

As many of you might already know, Inception has been nominated for 15 awards at this year’s Scream Awards, including the top award – THE ULTIMATE SCREAM. In 2008, Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight won 12 awards at the show, most notably for for BEST DIRECTOR and BEST ACTOR – which went to Heath Ledger for his performance as The Joker. This year we’ve been contacted by the good folks at Spike TV and Gotham Casting about getting you all (the fans!) out to the award show! The Scream Awards is a fan focused event where audience members dress in full costume like it’s giant Halloween party. The awards are focused on horror, sci-fi, and fantasy genres of feature films, and each year they always manage to get big name celebrities associated with said genres out to the event to celebrate with the fans. If you live in the LA area you can enter to win tickets to the show! And here’s how:

Email: spikeawards@gothamcasting.com
Type “2010 SCREAM Awards Tickets – Nolan Fans” in the subject line of the email.
Include your Name, Age, Phone #, and Address in the body of the email.
You must include a picture of yourself in the email and you must be 18 years of age.
You can possibly bring up to 3 guests, just include the name, phone, and email of all your guests.

Location: The Greek Theater in Griffith Park, Los Angeles.
Date: Saturday, October 16, 2010
Time: Check-in 4pm
Age: 18 & up
You must be in costume to get in!

If you’re selected to attend you will receive an email confirmation from Gotham Casting. Confirmations will start as early as 2 weeks prior to the event. For more information about the event, download this flyer: SCREAM 2010. Good luck Nolan fans!

Posted on Monday, February 23rd, 2009 at 9:21 pm by TeddyBlass

The Dark Knight managed to walk away with 2 Academy Awards® at last night’s 81st annual ceremony. A somewhat unexpected win Richard King for Best Achievement in Sound Editing was a pleasant surprise. And a very emotional win for Heath Ledger as Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role had his parents and sister accepting the award on his behalf.

Chris Nolan was shown in the crowd several times looking proud and emotional. Congrats to the winners, and everyone involved!

Early this morning the nominees for the 81st annual Academy Awards were announced, and although The Dark Knight received nominations in 8 categories, it was absent in nearly all of the major ones. The majority of the film’s nominations were in technical categories including: Best Achievement in Cinematography, Best Achievement in Editing, Best Achi-evement in Art Direction, Best Achievement in Makeup, Best Achievement in Sound, Best Achievement in Sound Editing, and Best Achievement in Visual Effects. Save one major category, Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, in which Heath Ledger was nominated for his role as The Joker.

We would like to know how you feel about the nominations. Happy? Annoyed? Comment below!
