Considering Nolan hasn't made a decent film in about 20 years, I'm hoping he returns to his roots

His short films on his dad's Super 8 camera at the age of 7 were really his peak.

Neither Lee Smith, Hoyte van Hoytema (recently wrapped Ad Astra), or Nathan Crowley (currently working on Ron's Gone Wrong) have work lined up for production in 2019. Zimmer got Lion King and Wonder Woman 1984, but he usually have more projects cooking at once.

My guess would be news in early 2019. At this point I don't think we'll hear anything in 2018.

Zero news for the rest of the year is unlikely imo. But we probably won't know what the movie is until next year.
