Wasn't as horrible as I expected. Some really good moments, but overall the film had a preposterous plot.

I know I'll be crucified for this but I liked Depp's performance in the movie as an ordinary man. Those initial scenes where he interacts [or rather, tries to interact] with Angelina Jolie were priceless, IMHO.

First proper thing I saw Hardy in, i saw him in band of brothers and black hawk down first but they weren't that big roles, he is an absolute beast in the Take and after watching it on TV i knew that he was going to make it big and I'm very pleased that he has.

One of the best Post-Apocalyptic story takes I've seen. Don Johnson's performance as the young southern secret sociopath Vic is highly entertaining and Tim McIntire as the voice of Blood is perfect. The scenes of bickering between the two compose the best part of the film and some extremely witty dialogue. The cinematography is astonishingly good for its time and provides some of the best post-apocalyptic atmosphere to this day. Overall this is a brutally under-appreciated film and is worth at least a view.

Michael Caine puts on an excellent performance as the distraught title character vigilante in this violent thriller. The slow pace which others will say breeds boredom only builds on the tension for the brutal final act in my opinion. It's story aptly shows the amorality that plagues the current times. What holds this film back however is its highly formulaic plot structure and (with the exception of Harry Brown) the unoriginal characters.

Saw this two days ago. Great performances by Michelle Williams, Seth Rogan and Sarah Silverman. Out of the entire cast I really enjoyed Seth Rogan's performance. Very different from his previous work and I'm glad to see him in something so different. I didn't like Luke Kirby's character in the movie and Sarah Silverman was surprisingly very good in her role as a recovering alcoholic. Definitely worth seeing.

Ahh The Take... Hardy acted his ass off in this. As much of an asshole as he was, I STILL felt for him in the end. Amazing work from him! So glad somebody else has seen it:-)

Boogie Nights is certainly more entertaining if that counts for anything.
