Hmm trying to decide which look of Max I like better... Hardy with the crazy beard and unshaven, or Hardy with the slicked back greasy ponytail...hmmm...Wonder what caused him or influenced him to change his look between his 2010 look and now...

he just realized that a guy living in that kind of circumstance probably would not have time to shave...i'm not sure Miller knows that Hardy is planning to show up with that beard, based on what Tom said

Translated to English;-)

According to the Namib Times, Mad Max 4 production has started and Tom and Charlize are in Namibia.

“News that Charlize Theron landed in Namibia yesterday morning spread like wildfire through the departure lounge of the airport Rooikop, pulling people to gather along the fence for a glimpse of the popular Hollywood star.”

“The man starring in the film, Tom Hardy, has already arrived in Swakopmund, and has apparently been seen regularly between his hotel and the production offices of the movie in the old Municipal building.”

That's unfortunate. I hope Miller had a good reason for not going with that, besides wanting to sell the film with Tom's face.

At the end of the day the director has control..sometimes the actor wants to push the envelope and the director would rather play it safe. I remember when I played a character who wanted attention so much that I suggested he would even break the fourth wall and try to get it from the audience... The director loved it but he wasn't brave enough to put those takes in the final cut. I still got to improvise the shit out of the scene with all sorts of attention whoring tactic do I was happy in the end regardless.
