We've just been informed that there will be no midnight shows of 'The Dark Knight Rises' at the request of Warner. This is because the film is opening as a day-and-date release with the US. The first permitted shows are midnight on Fri 20th July in the US, which because of the time zone makes that about 5am here. We won't be doing 5am shows, but hope to have booking available soon :)

I have a sneaking suspicion that Warner Bros. will announce a pre-screening for diehards on Thursday at 7:00 pm or 9:00 pm. If this is the case, I'm going to be really fucking pissed off since I'll be getting my Navy Pier IMAX midnight tickets the moment they open (this Monday).

I doubt it, if they've just cut UK midnight screenings. They're been strict about being on time.

Basically what I said. So it's first screening of the 20th then.

Off-topic (though TDKR-related) To those who saw Prometheus... was I the only one who immediately
thought of Bane when they encountered the Engineer in the sleep chamber and he had a Bane-style mask?

Sorry to be a little behind on this, but what does that mean?
