If I were to go with my favorites, and not what i think is his best i would say:
1. The Fighter (which is also his best)
2. The prestige
3. 310 to yuma ( such an underrated performance)

I love almost all his perfromaces, and he is my favorite actor. (at least half the time lol, Leo is very close)

Probably I'm one of the few people who prefer his quiet and understated performances to larger than life ones (i.e. American Psycho, The Fighter, Harsh Times...).

My personal favorite Bale performances are:
- Velvet Goldmine
- Batman Begins
- 3:10 to YUMA

Honorable mention - TDKR Trailers?
Every time I watch him in the trailers, my heart breaks. There's such sadness and tragedy in his face and voice.
Even the image of his dirt covered bare feet haunt me. I'm suspecting Nolan intentionally chose those shots to mislead us into believing Bruce's tragic fate.
