So yes, I disagree with those who think that watching trailers diminishes the first view experience.

I never said it would diminish the first viewing experience and I didn't say you wouldn't care for a certain scene because you've seen it on the trailer. But it would lower down the effect it would had on you.

Just think of it. For example imagine you are a huge fan of Nolan and Hardy but you don't know Hardy is playing the villain in TDKR, and when you watch the film for the first time how much realizing that could impress you compared to a situation that you already know that.

This could also have a negative impact.

Avoiding footage might force you to overrate performances or even the quality of the final product since you're not used to it and you might value it higher than most. Or you could underrate it and rate it lower than most because of the same reason.

Of course this could go both ways but still...

TDK's third gave away the central drive for the first half of the movie, all the major moneyshots, and what happens to Dent. Inception doesn't give much actual story, but shows every major moneyshot/setpiece and gives away almost every action/visual surprise of the movie.

Without having seen the trailer, I obviously cannot say, but even before Teddy convinced me to skip it, some friends and I were already discussing the idea of skipping specifically the third one for that reason. I was opposed to the idea at first, but they came to that conclusion for a reason.

They don't show all the money shots. Actually, the best money shots are not even in the trailer. They don't show too much at all... those sites must be retarded. As for the story, they didn't show anything more than what was already known.

For the third trailers of BB/TDK/Inception, they most certainly do, sir. Rewatch them. I don't think there's a big action shot in the movie that isn't in the trailers except for a couple. I'm glad to hear this new one doesn't, but I'm not risking it.

Nice calling people who disagree with you 'retarded' btw.

And I don't 'think' that at the time either, but you 'know' what's coming on some level, you have to, it's basic psychology.

Well I was obviously not talking about BB/TDK/Inception. I was talking about TDKR. And I wasn't calling you that way lol I called those sites because their claims are ridiculous like some sites still find Bane's voice hard to understand.

Those sites I mentioned were talking about TDK/Inception, not TDKR. Sorry if my post was confusing. I'm almost positive the new trailer'll give away things I don't want to see. So that's that.
