Inception

Only my third view- and the first since 2010 :O

I forgot how brilliant this movie is! So groundbreaking, new, fresh, gigantic. Next to outer space, dreams are the most epic of scopes that a movie can explore.

But it's also an emotional rollercoaster and the drama works- you feel for Cobb and genuinely feel devastated by the more dramatic scenes.

A great, great film. Next to "The Dark Knight'- it's the greatest action film of all time, in my opinion.

The people who made that film should be arrested for crimes against humanity.

Took a gander at it. Pretty disgusting stuff.

But it's only a little worse than Guinea Pig 2 or 200 Days of Sodomy.

I found Hostel and Saw pretty funny as a kid because it's not to not taken seriously. I appreciate gory horror flicks around Halloween time. It's fun to get a bunch of friends together and laugh at the ridiculousness of it all...

But A Serbian Films crosses the line. It's just incredibly sick.

I was surprised with how well this cast captured the Stooges. And the slapstick is incredibly accurate compared to a Stooges short. Some of the gags didn't work, but it was light, innocent fun and a lot better than I thought it'd be.

My problem with that film is that, though accurate to the original comedy style...it doesn't really work too well in modern day. You can watch the old shows and laugh because you konw that was the type of comedy at the time, but in a modern day setting it doesn't really work all that well.

The Constant Gardner - 8.1

Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz both gave strong performances. There is something about this film that just doesn't quite sit right with me. I'm not entirely sure what it is. I can see the appeal for it, but it didn't really engage me as much I wanted it to. There seemed to be some big piece missing.
