I LOL'ed at "Osama Bane Laden" and Seth Rogen being "Douchebag Man".

All I remember was that there was a girl who was at the 2nd day of the Heinz field shoot, and Tom told the crowd that the accent was half Anthony Hopkins, half Tony Montana

Tony Montana?!? I hope Nolan reaches a little farther than Cuba for christ sakes. Go with Martinique or some sh**

It doesn't matter who we are. All that matters is our plan.

I partly disagree with this. The Joker was hypocrite in a way, because he said he didn't have plans, yet everything he did was planned out. However I would agree that Bane is probably more meticulous than the Joker was.

What he means is more along the lines of, Joker doesn't have a plan other than to see the world go to shit. Bane wants the world to adhere to some type of destructive structure that he forces upon it.

Also, Joker planned things, but he didn't really have a reason for them, other than to just cause chaos and prove his philosophical points. I think Bane has a real motivation that he wants to achieve, that's more complicated than what Joker wanted.

The Joker's end goal was to break down society, watching the world burn. Bane has an actual plan for actual reasons. There's a huge difference. No clue what that plan is yet, but you know.

Indeed. Bane wants to specifically accomplish something for his own motives
(or the LOS's)

Joker just wants to cause mass hysteria because fuck it, he can.

well, Tom said he crafted the voice based on many factors...including those 2, but not limited to....so perhaps he only threw in a hint of a jamaican accent for the fanboys, but there are other qualities to it as well that are more relevant to the character in TDKR

I agree. I think his accent won't just be one thing and the only "Caribbean" nod will be somewhere in the accent itself; they won't explain anything about his Caribbean roots, LOL, like the writer suggests. Hardy just paid attention to the character's roots as he was forming the character's voice. Nolan's Bane will be something else entirely, as we have seen.

Bane's not the Joker. It wouldn't hurt to give him an origin and simply mention the fact that he grew up in the prison of a Spanish nation with a fucked up government. And that's especially because it would add to this movie completing the full circle of the Dark Knight legacy, what with Bane growing up with a tragic past, mirroring Bruce since he had a tragic past too.

Bane's tragic past doesnt have to be growing up in a prison in a hispanic country
