Location: Insomnia, Norway
I just can't see any noir along with Inception. It is a movie that is spoon-feeding information to the audience, 88 questions with Ariadne and all. And with that, the movie lost its REAL "puzzle to solve" in comparison to Memento, for me anyway. Sure, Inception is still being discussed but so far its only about the ending, and very little about its movie making process. Why is it so important for the audience to have total absolution with a real or dreamy ending, when the protagonist himself does NOT care?
