Being present for filming, I've seen most of what was cut (though I won't comment out of respect for Chris Nolan and co). I can see why it was cut. The theatrical cut should remain the definitive version. And it most likely will since he has a very specific stipulation in his contracts that the studio is not allowed to make extended cuts for DVD release. Any extra footage is kept solely in his posession. He also believes that having deleted scenes and bloopers on DVD's take away from the creative process, which is fair, so sadly those things will never see the light of day.
The trailer from Wizard World had a bunch of extra moments. Batman running on top of police cars after exiting the interrogation room and Bruce toasting with Dent being the more obvious exclusions from the final cut.
