Tried to get into the Amsterdam Film And Television Academy this year, but failed. Will try again next year, if that does not work out either, I will keep my writing and film projects as a hobby and will study some more Mechanical Engineering.

Why don't you just make short films or a feature film and enter film festivals? Never give up...

I never said I would give up. I said I wouldn't try getting into film school after the second time.

Well why not? Have you lost interest in it, or do you truly believe you have not got what it takes to get in?

Because I think that if I tried two times without succes, I will never get in.

In film school they are looking for people who fit in their idea of a filmmaker. If you don't get accepted, it does not mean you're a bad filmmaker or something. You're just not the right person for the academy. But the thing is this;
I don't want to waste my life by trying to get into film school every year. I am almost 22 right now and need to start focus on my future. What if I try to get into film school every year untill I am 30? How would my life be? I would really see myself as a screw-up.
I will probably always be a writer and I will definately make short films and stuff for festivals, but I don't want to wait untill it is my turn on film school, because there's a huge chance that I never get in.

There are more ways to become a filmmaker. In The Netherlands your chances are the biggest by going to the Amsterdam Film Academy, but it's not the only chance.

I am. after finishing in 2013 i would love to do a directors class in france as well.
