New Batman Reboot cast

Here is a list I made... I dropped the clicheic choice as Depp being the Riddler... We don't need that... we need something NEW...

Alfred - Michael Caine
Bane - Vinnie Jones (buff him up and put a good director to guide him)
Black Mask - Edward Norton
Bruce Wayne/Batman - Jon Hamm
Catwoman/Selina Kyle - Charlize Theron/Audrey Tautou
Deadshot - Crispin Glover

Hugo Strange - Robin Williams

See you need to have a bit of an imagination

I think Depp as Two Face would be an inspired casting. Everyone wanted him to be the riddler but that would be too much of a typecast and predictable. It would be much more interesting to see him inject his flavor and humor into a character like Two Face, who is pretty. Much a bore. Plus Depp would have a lot of fun stretching the boundary of the bipolar disorder.

DDL as Joker is predictable and boring.

DDL as Joker is predictable and boring.

Imo Depp has become such a bore fest in the last period of time. You don't need imagination to give him the role of Two-Face...

It would be such a cliche of him to portray a villain... Second of all... DDL as Joker ain't boring at all. I can't even imagine why would you say that. I'm pretty sure DDL has more to show as Joker than Depp as Two-Face... which will deliver exactly the expected... I wanted first DDL as Two Face and Benicio as Joker ... it could work that way too.

I disagree. I love him as Dillinger, The Mad Hatter, and now he's giving us Sparrow again.

Itd be predictable to see him as The Riddler because that's a character who you automatically assume is loud and eccentric. Two Face isn't that, he's more subtle and tone down but there is still room for interesting characterization...which is why Depp would be needed.

Gilliam has said Depp and Heath Ledger approached acting in the same way and that's why they are the greatest film actors.

I agree with this... Unfortunately all Depp roles lately are very much alike. I think his best acting ended up with Sparrow (and it didn't even work for POTC 3 where he did "too much") (and maybe Sweeny Todd, which was good)

Depp?... nope... over-saturated... Mad-hatter... terrible. Wanted a darker side to the character to come out, but it never did. Just Depp doing the same thing he always does... Depp as Dillinger?... i could have taken a nap during that one.

DDL to me would be fun as the Joker... a little old, but his acting chops surpass Depp's by a mile when it comes to creating a character that would instill fear upon anyone... nice idea IMO...

We will see how Depp does as "Tonto"...

The Mad Hatter was never meant to be dark. going into a movie with specific expectations of how something should be done = fail on your part.

And he was amazing as Dillinger...its just that the movie wasnt that good.
