Okay I'm jumping on this wagon again. Let's count the deaths:

1. Davis - obviously killed by Joker
2. hospital cop - tried to call Davis, was killed by Joker
3. Wuertz - shot by Dent
4. Maroni's bodyguard - Dent grabs him on the side of the screen right before he gets into Maroni's car
5. Maroni's driver
6. Maroni

Regardless of what you say, Dent killed a total of 4 people. Joker killed two, making it a total of 3 cops.

Now which death is most likely to be eliminated? Maroni's bodyguard, because most people say that Dent only grabbed him, he didn't kill him. Okay fine, then let's cut him from the list:

1. Davis
2. hospital cop
3. Wuertz
5. Maroni's driver
6. Maroni

This still leaves a total of 3 cops.

There must be an answer to this.

Weurtz got to be the one excluded. For one, if it's been implied he killed the bartender (how else would he had appeared from BEHIND the bar?). It was Weurtz's day off. There was no one else in the bar so, therefore, no witnesses (if he indeed killed the bartender 1st). So how would anyone known he was dead? During that timeframe, Gordon was preoccuppied in evacuating the people of Gotham and the prisons onto the ferries.

Zcobb and chee, read my post I said Gordon ASSUMES he killed them both because he knew they were dirty and knew Dent was on to them as well and more than likely involved in their capture. So at that point where Dent has his family captive he' very well assumes he offed the cops that helped mob/Joker capture and kill rachel.

If I remember correctly, Dent refers to Ramirez as "scum" and mentions that he almost caught her in the act when he's talking to Gordon and Batman prior to capturing Lau.

Even if he learned about Wuertz getting killed, there was no possible way he know that Two-Face got in touch with Ramirez. Gordon did assume wrongfully about the two cops, but they were the ones at the hospital. Joker shot those two then gave the gun to Two-Face in which he used to kill Wuertz & Maroni's driver. The ballistic match would easily point it to Two-Face. But since it's most likely Gordon wouldn't of known about Wuertz's death, it's all likely that he was thinking about the two cops in the hospital and Maroni and his men.

The 5th person we can't find HAS TO BE A COP. I'm sorry, but you guys cannot pull all of the Joker's muders into this.

And god dammit, this is the last fucking time I'm gonna say this:

Maroni, Maroni's Driver, and Weurtz HAVE TO BE ON THAT LIST! I don't know if you guys are trying to be cute by coming up with these random people, but it has to stop now. All people that Dent actually killed, all the people we saw him kill NEED to be on that list, otherwise there is no point in anything in this universe and we are all going to hell.

It may sound unfair to the decency of Gordon but I doubt he even put those 2 cops into consideration, they were beat cops and weren't even accounted for. I'm sure he knew ramirez and wuertz were out of commission as they were his top detectives and unavailable.. at the point where he sees dent he puts 2 and 2 together, figures he killed them both.
