they argue about the new girlfriend of the 'burglar', who's come
to get her stuff. Then a third man bursts out of the cupboard"

That sounds rather interesting.
I bet that when the third guy came out of the cupboard, was the look on all the actor's face. Then after that they stand around looking like  .

It would be nice if Nolan released both shorts but I think he hasn't released them as they were just experimental projects to him and doesn't want people to see the stuff he did before Doodlebug.
I have made some rubbish short films when I was 18 that I don't want people seeing so I understand why he hasn't released them.

Two new pictures of Larceny:

Larceny

Larceny was funded by Chris himself, but shot using all of Filmsoc's equipment. It is one of the best (if not the best) shorts of filmsoc recent generations. Shot in black & white on the Arri 16BL, it contains some superb hand-held camera work, and a fast paced gripping story.
This 9 minute film paved the way for Chris Nolan to embark on a much longer project 'The Following', again starring Jeremy Theobald and shot by the same crew at weekends over a period of around 6 months. The Following was recently released in the UK and has recieved very good reviews from Total Film, Empire and newspapers.

Starring: The Man - Jeremy Theobald, Toby - Mark Deighton, Wooly Hat - Dave Savva
Production Assistant: Emma Thomas
Sound: David Lloyd
Assistant Director: Nigel Karikari
Music: David Julyan
Assistant Camera: Ivan Cornell
Written, Directed, Shot and Edited: Christopher Nolan
Produced: Christopher Nolan, Ivan Cornell
Thanks: Mike Dunderdale, Steve Street, Bloomsbury TV, UCL Film Society
