"11:59pm EDT on Sunday, August 1."

That's what the EDT is for. Eastern Daylight Time.

(Fun fact: It's EST when we're not observing daylight saving time.)

11:59 PM EDT on Sunday is the deadline.
And yes Orlando, FL is in the Eastern Timezone (GMT-4 in summer)

use this website to see what time it is in where you live:

(regardless of you live, you still have precisely 24 hours to enter the contest) :)
