I also think some people are rather picky here lol. Even the capsizing ship looks very convincing imo. We're just used to seeing so much CGI that when we get a spectacle which utilises very few of it (mind you, only 400 VFX shots i.e. of which I'm fairly certain also means shots where wires and all were removed), instead of around 2000 if not 3000 which often results in almost no shots being CG-free...

Back on topic for Tenet: I wonder how many 15/70mm IMAX camera's there are atm. Nolan and Van Hoytema utilised like four on Dunkirk, often using them all at once. Considering that Fukunaga/Sandgren are using 15/70mm IMAX on Bond 25 I wonder if that means Nolan/VH have to do with fewer camera's or that IMAX has built more of them to take this problem out of the equation lol

I mean, we don't know if this will be a more dialogue heavy film. Quite possibly more than Dunkirk but that doesn't mean it's going to be as dialogue heavy as Inception and Interstellar were. Of which Interstellar had the benefit of having quite some scenes with the characters in space-suits meaning they could record the audio from inside the helmets*. Which in turn made it much easier to shoot scenes with IMAX because of the noise of the camera's they bypassed this way.

*same with all the aerial scenes both in and out the cockpits in Dunkirk but somehow I'm not expecting people to wear helmets or anything lol

Kathy Lucas is listed on imdb as set decorator. She was nominated for an Oscar last year for First Man along with Nathan Crowley.

I see a marine coordinator has joined the crew on IMDb.
Neil Andrea who also worked on Dunkirk.

If you click on his Instagram story he appears to be in Ravello, Italy. So maybe prepping for filming with the boats before the rest of the crew arrive after filming in Tallinn?

I remember reading that Nolan tried to have the Bat-Boat in TDKR but it make sense for story reasons. I hope there’s some kind of boat chase in Tenet, a chase across the Mediterranean in 70mm would be some cool stuff.

Did he ever comment on having the bat boat* in TDKR?

Would indeed be pretty damn cool if there's a chase on the Mediterranean water all shot on IMAX

*would love something like that in Reeves' Batman film btw

*Corbould wanted it, not Nolan. Here’s a link: https://www.comicbookmovie.com/amp/batm ... oat-a70493

And could you imagine Nolan doing something like this:

Well yeah would be pretty damn cool if Nolan/Hoytema would shoot a chase scene on the water. I loved their work on the IJsselmeer in Dunkirk
