I hear ya, but if the script is mangled then filming can get delayed. I want news substance as much as the next guy. We might not get a big dose for a while.
I'm sure they wouldn't just announce a release date if they weren't sure they would meet the deadline. That was the first thing announced. And it helps that Nolan is very reliable in that he's proven that he's very efficient - production doesn't go over budget and always finishes on time maybe even earlier than expected.
