That what I was thinking. Why drop two previews when you can drop one?
The whole exclusive thing got less special when IMAX switched to digital 1.90:1

But they could also make an announcement and say “if you wanna see the prologue/preview, get your ass to the nearest IMAX theater” and maybe just maybe it isn’t exclusive to IMAX after all. I’m rambling. The closer we get to it the harder it is to wait.

Indeed.

Releasing both a prologue and a trailer at the same time always seemed unrealistic.

The prologue will be released online after it's theatrical run has expired. No trailer.

They never have and never will release the prologue online.

Either we're getting the prologue online or nothing at all.

A trailer doesn't exist.

Just like we believed that the teaser didn’t exist till the moment it dropped and the bootleg got out.

Not sure what you're thinking. The prologue will be exclusively in theaters with star wars. There's no evidence of a trailer as of yet. The only way a prologue gets online is a bootleg version.

Well, there still is no trailer classification for a second trailer...

But there is for the prologue. Why would they wait so long with the trailer's classification?

Nolan has always said that the best way to go into films is without having seen trailers/anything at all. Maybe he's now become powerful enough to persuade WB to keep as much footage close to the vest.

This whole thing is strange. They're either being super secretive with things or this will not be marketed in the traditional way.
