I think it was five or six days after the french press announced Nolan's next film would be shot in Dunkirk and tell the story of operation Dynamo that Warner confirmed, adding that it was an original script by Nolan, that it would be shot in Imax and 65mm, and that Hardy, Branagh and Rylance would be pat of the cast.
Edit: also Bacon I think it can discredit future news presented as leaks about the film's plot, and also have people talk more about the film, though I agree it's pretty risky.

Yeah, I would say we'll know the title and maybe the two main leads no later than Friday. I'd be shocked if we didn't.

Every time I read romantic thriller, I keep thinking of True Lies or Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I know those are more action than thriller, but still.

Use of the IMAX format won't just be for conversational pieces, for example.

It’s going to be hard R (perhaps even NC-17) and it’s gonna be a balls to the wall porno epic, shot entirely in IMAX, with multiple timelines all merging into one orgasmic conclusion.
Well, well, well. Looks like daddy ET was right about the romance all along, y'all.

What about Allied (2016); does it count as romantic thriller?: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3640424/

It's great knews. I was kind of dreading another Oscar-baity setting but this might be another Nolan blockbuster at his most spectacular. As many issues I had with Inception's dialogue, you can't deny it's an impressive movie in terms of scope and spectacle. I also think Nolan isn't that bad with romance. He did really good with The Prestige and Inception and his thesis on love in Interstellar might be my favorite work of his. So bring on the romance.

But what really excites me is the "thriller" part of it and the North by Northwest part of it. I love that Hitchcock film and with Nolan's even more tense sequences this might be another all-time classic.

Also him working on something special with the theatres also peaks my interest. What could it be?

man is trying to silence each critique film by film at this point
First thing I thought.

It's awesome how he keeps pushing himself to try new genres, while still having the Nolan trademarks in them. The idea of a "romance thriller" by Nolan is hella exciting.

I need to rewatch North by Northwest ASAP, it's been a long time since the last time I've seen it.

I'm expecting a "quieter" mystery thriller, like a Gone Girl or a Basic Instinct. Without the "obvious elements" of those films, lol.
Speculation time, I'd love for the romance part to be kind of twisted, akin to Gone Girl.

If this all turns out to be true, I mean.
