Is a dome theater worth 15 dollars for Rogue One and a Dunkirk Prologue?
i need opinions on this

will the experience be worth the horrible dome theater distortion?
Yes. I saw the TDKR prologue in DOME IMAX and it was amazing.

Im confused cuz since Rougue One is being shown in 70mm in like 12 places does that mean theaters that have IMAX laser wont get it? AMC Lowes Lincoln Square just converted from 70mm to laser and isn't showing the Rouge One in 70mm so is Dunkirk not gonna be shown even though the screen size is still the largest in NYC

So as of now all we know is that the prologue is being shown in select theaters, nothing about a trailer correct?

It's still an unconfirmed information, based on some "sources" of /Film. It's hard to believe that the movie which itself is 2.5 hours long will have a 7 minutes prologue shown before it, not to say about all the ordinary trailers attached to it.

What? Both The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises had 7 minute prologues.

Fuck. Only 70mm IMAX theater left in Florida is a Dome

We have a beautifully renovated Dual 4K Laser theater, but knowing Nolan, it'll be film only.

In this day and age this 70mm only shit is just dumb.

Last time I check with Autonation IMAX in Florida, they had dual laser/70mm. They aren't showing Rogue One in 70mm,but hopefully they still have 70mm when Dunkirk comes out.

Yes. It is. Feature films are not meant to be bent and molded over a sphere. Obviously it's going to ruin the image.

But I might go anyways.
