That's great - it got #2 in their top 10.
Trailer #2 just crossed 20 million views!!!
(20,000,681 views at the time of writing.)
I think it's also the most viewed trailer for a war movie on YouTube.
Yes, yes, it's not fair because YouTube didn't exist/wasn't as big last decade...but still, most viewed trailer for a genre is quite an accomplishment, I'd say!

As much as people didn't seem to like it, still won a Golden Trailer award for Best Drama

The editing is still rough; especially the out-of-place "if we go there, we'll die" line which is followed by music that comes out of nowhere without any build-up/crescendo (you know what I mean).antovolk wrote:As much as people didn't seem to like it, still won a Golden Trailer award for Best Drama

But the music itself, and the trailer as a whole from 1:28 on is damn fantastic.
Somber, era-fitting music that is actually surprisingly memorable; I find myself humming it quite often.
It goes nicely with the montage of haunting clips showing rows of sand-covered corpses, Spitfires breaking formation, an exploding ship juxtaposed onto the darkness, etc.
And winning in the category of drama...
I hope the GTA people don't actually think that Dunkirk is going to be a drama?
If so, then goddamn it. What hope is there for the public to understand that this isn't trying to be a Saving Private Ryan/Hacksaw Ridge-type war drama when even industry professionals don't?
