Yes.

Interesting. So an American made film went uncut and had 3 AUDIBLE F-bombs (possibly 4 if Collins says something muffled) and massive amounts of violence, and it got a PG-13. I've honestly never seen that before. Lincoln has 2 F-bombs, The Social Network has 2, Interstellar has 2 (one is slightly muffled but clearly said), The Adjustment Bureau has 2.
Ocean's Eleven also had two.

I believe Lincoln actually only had one. The second time I thought he cursed because I thought he said "pity-fucking," he said "pettyfogging."

The King's Speech had this scene in it, but I believe that even with it, it should have been rated PG-13:

I swear i heard 3 F-bombs back when this film was still in theater but some people kept insisting there were only 2 (specifically because Fionn didn't say it) so i just kinda convinced myself i probably misheard that. good to see it's in the subtitle now though.

On another note, I'm trying to dissect smiley-turned-frowney dude and the corpse that washes up with the tide. I really do think it's the same extra.

The way his hair on the side has that distinct shape and the way his eyebrows fade on the outside make me think it's him. Not to mention... the schnoz!
He also appears somewhere around the 12 minute mark, as I remember reading another poster here saying that a few weeks back; does that help?
Sure enough, you were right as rain!

Definitely one of those "When you see it, you'll shit brix" kinds of moments.

Yet again, given the hair (on the side) and eyebrows, I think that helps strengthen the argument. Just becomes a bit of an "Easter egg" for us, if you will. Haha.

For good measure and more proper accuracy (since the new face is CGI'ed), I'm going to include him from the teaser trailer shot as well.

Fantastic.

If the MPAA censors by reading the script, then yeah, it's unusual that Dunkirk got a PG-13 when it contains numerous F-bombs.

But if it censors by watching the actual film, then it probably missed the F-bombs because the dialogue blends with all the other noise.

Screenplay has 3 (according to the search feature of the Kindle Cloud Reader w/ the Kindle edition):

(When lifeboat refuses to pick up Alex & Tommy)
Soldier: Don't panic. The water's not too rough or too cold. We're heading back to the beach.
Male voice: F*** off! Let's go to Dover! (several voices join in)

Alex: For f***'s sake.

Tommy: F*** no. I'm going home.

When all is considered by the MPAA, it's almost like a scoring system where quantity matters. Maybe if there was more blood but no F-bombs, it would have still gotten a PG-13... but if there was more blood on top of the F-bombs they already have, it could have then been rated R.

But let's hypothetically say that this film was completely clean in every department, with the exception of one F-bomb (without saying or implying verb form). If that's all they had, this movie would get a PG-13 rating and not R. Once you overstate those F-bombs, now the film will get an R-rating by the MPAA's standards, but they would have to overrule that rating back to PG-13 by a 2/3 vote if they so choose.

This is why some films can keep those two F-bombs, and that's also why I believe The King's Speech should be PG-13 (look at how innocent that scene is in that film). Heck, Bicentennial Man said "shit" about six or seven times, and that movie got a PG rating. It's the manner in which it was used that kind of made it okay.

The Martian is PG-13 and got away with two audible F-bombs, in addition to a couple instances of mouthing the word and showing it typed out with dashes in place of letters.

Ah, that was the other one! I was trying to come up with the ones I knew of for sure.
