A HISTORICAL trust is searching for survivors of the 1940 Dunkirk evacuation as its vessel is set to star on the big screen.
The appeal comes as the Endeavour, Leigh’s Little Ship that went to Dunkirk, is set to appear in a film marking the dramatic voyage.
With the Dunkirk story set for the Hollywood treatment by award-winning British director Christopher Nolan, Mr Marshall wants to find more survivors to join him on the Endeavour. As part of the film, Little Ships, including the Endeavour, will recreate their heroics of 75 years ago. Some of the filming is scheduled to take place in Ramsgate in May, with more set for Dunkirk, when some boats will be involved in action sequences.

VFX maestro Andrew Jackson has since been recruited by Christopher Nolan for his upcoming WW2 epic Dunkirk.

Jackson's work was amazing in Mad Max, I'm really glad that Nolan invited him. As far as we know, Nolan gathered fantastic cast and crew. I hope he will create something epic and monumental as David Lean films.

I think, it's pretty much a lock. Movie will definitely need some special effects shots and Nolan had great experience working with DN. Jackson is only stunt adviser. All air fights (that will probably be in movie) will need participation of DN.

6-week shoot on location ,starting May. Better TRIP rates, more the lensing. Not that it would affect a Chris Nolan film anyway but the line producer says different. Wondering if this made Nolan to make changes in the script.

Some might say Nolan still has to make a movie that sucks. But I don't hope it's this one, nor do I want him to make a bad movie.
