Wait... who is the black and white face that is barely showing?
Even if he's finishing a script right now I don't see how it comes out in 2016. That would involve casting and locations in 2015, perfect shooting and editing in the first half of 2016.

Well the assumption is that it is a small scale movie. He made The Prestige in almost a year. So I don't think it's impossible to pull that off again.Sandy wrote:Even if he's finishing a script right now I don't see how it comes out in 2016. Casting ? Michael Caine , Bale , Hardy , Marion , Anne , Jessica , Guy Pearce (he wish) , Matthew , Levitt. He will invite them all to a dinner at his home. They play the musical chairs. The ones who get sited are in. Nobody got time for casting.Sandy wrote:Even if he's finishing a script right now I don't see how it comes out in 2016. Oh, we are not prepared for this...

It's the Howard Hughes biopic. I've already seen a draft of the screenplay, although I can only remember a snippet or two. Here, to the best of my recall abilities (yeah, apologies, it's a quiet Saturday afternoon):
LOVE IS IN THE AIR - 3rd Draft 2015 - by Christopher Nolan
EXT. AIRFIELD - DAY
We see a "Hughes H-1 Racer" airplane in the foreground, a young MECHANIC leaning against it. On the side of the plane we can very clearly see the words: "HUGHES H-1 RACER" in large obvious letters. Another figure approaches in the distance.
WISE FATHER FIGURE (V.O.):
It was his new airplane, the Hughes H-1 Racer,
and he had invested all of his love into that
fine flying beast. This was to be its first flight.
The approaching figure arrives and from the large name-badge on his overalls we can see that it is HOWARD HUGHES.
MECHANIC:
Your Hughes H-1 Racer all ready for you, Mr Hughes.
You must be very excited to fly it for the first time after
all the love you have put into it.
HUGHES:
Yes, it's true, I put a lot of work and love into this
Hughes H-1 Racer and I am very emotionally invested
in it. Here, you've been working on her for a while now,
why don't we remind ourselves of how it all works?
MECHANIC:
Let's do that. While we are looking at it, perhaps you
could remind me of the story of how you came to be
so emotionally invested in the Hughes H-1 Racer,
and what it represents about you in terms of your psyche?
As HUGHES and the MECHANIC discuss the Hughes H-1
Racer, we flashback to its creation, with narration by the
WISE FATHER FIGURE describing, in detail, exactly what
we are already seeing in each frame of the montage.
(CONTINUES... FOR 3 HRS)
