Okay this is about time dilation. In the movie Romilly stays back in the ship while the others go down to the planet to see if it's habitable. When they get back many years have passed for Romilly but only a few hours for the others. My question is: what would happen if Romilly took a telescope and zoomed in to view the other astronauts? What would he see? Would he see some people moving in extremely slow motion? Would the gravity from the black whole make it impossible to see them? (please ignore the fact that they are far away and assume there's a telescope able to see them)
