I think I (and Leo and John?) translated some of their trash talking. They are 3 pretentious assholes. I bet the movie made them cry and all 3 saw the other ones cry and now they have lost face. Qu'ils aillent se faire foutre (which is French for they should go f@ck themselves.

For those who have seen the film, I found this para from this critic difficult to digest:
There are story and plot elements lifted from Back to the Future, Sunshine and Event Horizon (one whole scene about the explanation of a wormhole is lifted from the last named). It’s entertaining for sure, but you wish it weren’t so derivative, coming from Nolan.

Anybody can say it's not good. I respect other people's opinion when it's justified. But here...
They say it's boring, not really emotional. By that, you can already understand they're full of shit. They also say things it's "a fake intellectual movie", "as dumb as Inception"... and they add a few french expression that make them sound like 3 real douchebags.
I saw on twitter that they know each other, say almost the same things about the same movies. I bet while one was speaking the other one was filming and the third one was holding the dummy cards.

I can see why the reviewer would have thought so, but I cannot agree that it is derivative. I'll try to to explain without spoilers as much possible. The rest I'm putting spoiler tags.

Event Horizon:
The explanation of the wormhole is pretty much a standard, known explanation, reiterated here for a new viewer's benefit. Nonsense to call it lifted - It isn't Event Horizon's invention to begin with - in fact, I liked it better here. Mild spoiler - .

Sunshine: I felt it was organic for this movie's ideas of human nature, survival etc. Sunshine explores a similar idea in a different context -The motivations involved and the way they play out are different.

Back to the Future
If this qualifies as derivative, plenty of other acclaimed movies need to have the same label.

I caught the end of his review... Kermode enjoyed the technical aspects but had major issues with the plot, including the ending. Mayo seemed to enjoy it full stop and said he wanted to watch it again straight away. That's all I heard.
