Interstellar Teaser

Christopher Nolan's 2014 grand scale science-fiction story about time and space, and the things that transcend them.

To be honest, the thing about this teaser that shocked me the most was serif font on all the text. For some reason that was very unexpected seeing as how Nolan has traditionally stuck with sans-serif. Very interesting

IMDb (I know, I know) mentions the following in the trivia:
Some of the "archive footage" in the teaser trailer was filmed specifically for the production and then altered by the visual effects teams to appear much older.
Does anyone have any more info or a source on this?

I don't think so really. The only "unknown" stock footage in that trailer is from the Dust Bowl (in the beginning of the teaser), and that looks legit to me. Why would they fake that? There is plenty of free/non-restricted stuff to use so it seems highly unlikely to me.

This is for those who have followed the production and seen the behind the scenes pictures along the way:
"The Dust Bowl, also known as the Dirty Thirties, was a period of severe dust storms that greatly damaged the ecology and agriculture of the US and Canadian prairies during the 1930s; severe drought and a failure to apply dryland farming methods to prevent wind erosion (the Aeolian processes) caused the phenomenon.... The Dust Bowl forced tens of thousands of families to abandon their farms "

You guys remember this?

Intrigued to see that my novel, 'Out of the Blue', features in the official teaser trailer for 'Interstellar'...
I have NO idea!! It was published in 2001 - maybe that's significant? Flattered but mystified...
The film looks wonderful though - out in November. I shall definitely see it!
Actually it's THIS edition. It was reissued in 2012 but they've used this earlier one. http://www.amazon.com/Out-Blue-Dress-Nu ... 100&sr=1-9
I don't know anything about 'Interstellar' except that Christopher Nolan is a brilliant director.

Very Interesting. Holding out hope that something will be revealed with Winter's Tale on February 14th.
Yeah... not gonna happen.

I have a feeling that the dumbass conventional moviegoers (who I despise so much) are assuming this movie is a documentary because of all the "stock" footage. Let's just say this is not on the conventional moviegoers' radars. At all. Yet.

That's an issue with the marketing, not the moviegoers.
But we're also still a year out, so it doesn't have to be clear yet.
