Yea, I can't help but want something along the lines of Clint Mansell's work on Moon. That sense of loneliness it conveyed.

Yeah as much as I love Hans work, I want to see a huge Nolan film that does not have a bombastic score.

Oooh yesss. I like this. Zimmer does like to write a lot, but it would be super interesting if this score is more quiet. If the story calls for it that is.

David Julyan should do the score for Interstellar.

Depends on the content. If it's a sombre space drama, you'll get something more floaty and ethereal. Now if it's played like an action adventure we'll get our fair share of bombastic. Especially if it's Zimmer,who'll want to pummel our face in with percussion.

I would love a very synth-based score supported by strings and very, very light woodwinds. The strings would be even better if they went into heavy dissonances during the more intense moments.
