On bluray.com it is #1 for sales rank:

On amazon.com it is #1 for best sellers in bluray:

On boxofficemojo it is # 6 for top selling blurays 2015 in USA:

Basically, how would you rank its bluray sales performance vs. its box office performance, thus far - are they about the same? Or, are the bluray figures better? Or, do we need more time to tell? This is just for fun, because I thought the USA box office figures weren't the greatest, and I'm not sure what to think of the bluray sales...

Seeing those numbers, I am so tired of people saying that home video sales don't make the studio any money.

BULL. SHIT.

It had a very good box office run. Not the phenomenon of Inception but looking back that was unrealistic.
Those blu ray numbers are great.

Can anyone account for the reason why Interstellar bluray sales kind of sky-rocketed last week? In it's 19 weeks of bluray sales, last week was its 3rd best in terms of units sold, its USA bluray sales rank was #2, and there was a +717% increase in its sales.

Here are the numbers:

Is it simply that more word of mouth is getting around to help its bluray sales? If so, why the sudden jump in sales? It has a long ways to go to getting closer to reaching Inception, etc.

Not yet. Maybe they want to wait for the 100GB discs? Does anybody know when they will be available?
