Nolan says he makes his films as short as possible, he only writes things that serve needed purposes to the story and experience. He's an extremely smart person, and he's well aware that the majority of people do not want to see a 4 hour film, nor will it go over well with the executives, so I'm sure this movie will be long, but not nearly to that extant. I still stand by my opinion that it will be around 3 hours long, maybe a bit over.

Just to give you guys a good idea of what kind of feeling to expect from a long film.
LOTR: Return of the King Extended - 4 hours and 10 minutes (250 minutes)
LOTR: Return of the King - 3 hours and 20 minutes (200 minutes)
Titanic -3 hours and 15 minutes (195 minutes)
LOTR: The Two Towers: - 3 hours (180 minutes)
LOTR: Return of the King Extended - 4 hours and 10 minutes (250 minutes)

Titanic -3 hours and 15 minutes (195 minutes)
LOTR: The Two Towers: - 3 hours (180 minutes)
The Godfather II is also 200 minutes long. Casino is 178 minutes. And all of them are great movies and my favorites! I won't have a problem with its length, I'm sure.MiracleSleeper wrote:Just to give you guys a good idea of what kind of feeling to expect from a long film.

I think a 180-200 minute long film is fine for the conclusion of a trilogy. Four hours seems a little much... unless Nolan has big ideas, and really believes he has something special on his hands.DHOPW42 wrote:The Godfather II is also 200 minutes long. Casino is 178 minutes.
