Like anybody willing to trek through the madness that is a TDKR midnight screening isn't already going to see it at least thrice anyway...

To be fair, China's pretty uptight about what films they screen. But the UK midnight thing is just bizarre.

It's a day and date release in the US guys. When it's midnight on the 20th in UK it won't yet be the 20th in the US. If it were coming out a week later in the UK or something you would have the midnight release. I know it's strange but it does make sense. You are still getting it at the same time as us.

not quite day and date--Australia release is 7/19 and because of time difference will be 7/18 in US when released there
