No, he doesn't.

Which is why when I saw the scar on his arm it was less "OH MY GAWD NOLAN IS BRILLIANT!" and more "Yup."

The fact that we expect these details from Nolan is proof of just how damn good he is.

So does this mean that this shot takes place before that 8 year gap? Because I'm not sure even a scar this ugly would remain after 8 years, but I could be wrong.

I've got a scar on my wrist from a simple glass cut from like 10 years ago. So yeah that would definitely still be there.

Some scars remain for life, usually if it's more than superficial but I'm more interested in that 8 year gap you pointed out. We know Nolan said the film takes place 8 years after the events in TDK... but I wonder if there will be some scenes showing what happened directly after Batman runs from the cops. The prologue indicated no, but subtle things sure make my head scratch as to whether we really get right into it or not.
