P.S - the only downside I can see is hordes of Batfans watching The Avengers just to view TDKR's trailer might increase its opening weekend [and first week] box office.

Ummmm..... not really. I don't see why you're so giddy with astonishment/admiration for WB. This was expected. They've done this with the last 3 Nolan action movies; all 3 of them came with early May non-wb movies; two being Marvel properties -- Ironman and Ironman 2, for The Dark Knight and Inception, respectively. They're just following the same old marketing pattern they've employed with Nolan on all his previous action films. No surprise really. And no "big balls" on their part for doing something they've already done 3 times before.

People will come out of The Avengers talking about how awesome Bane will be and how hot Catwoman is. And Kevin Feige definitely will not like that. So yeah, right now, Warner Bros is winning.

Agreed. It's like saying: we know how big you are, we're bigger and we know it.

I honestly don't think WB wins anything. By having the third Dark Knight Rises trailer with the Avengers, a lot more people will come out to see the film. It's a win win for both Marvel and WB.

Its a win for WB because 1. It draws more interest to TDKR (As if they need anymore). 2. It shows confidence. Its saying "We'll give you those extra asses in the seats because we know we will make our money when the time comes. Those extra seats arent a biggie to us."
