i think the reason why some of you guys refuse to believe the confirmation is because you were expecting some kind of parade around the whole thing

you were expecting CNN to do a breaking news story on it

when the fact of the matter is to WB its not that big of a deal.....its a much bigger deal to them that they DO Batman 3 rather than WHO they do it with.

It's pretty standard for the studio to issue an official press release on big movie announcements. Warner haven't done so yet. I believe Nolan is signed on but WB are waiting for the right time.

Well, that's how it works really. There's always the right time to announce something!

The reasons I don't believe any of this horse crap are:
1. It's not worth even reading about.
2. As far as I'm concerned, a 2005 script to the Dark Knight is largely based on even more grapevine bits that aren't worth reading about.
3. First drafts if existed are pretty awful and subject to change.
4. First drafts are not intended to be seen by audiences and should thereby not even be worth thinking about.

Granted that I cannot know for sure that it's a real draft or not, it's not even worth pondering about whether it's real or not. It's useless. Its non-news. It's a site hoping to make a splash over quite possibly fabrication and frankly, I think it is. Just check all the Bat3 news that have spurned just at the heels of The Dark Knight. If you believe this is the real script then what are the chances you also read that Cher is Catwoman? I am not even buying the idea of Chris Nolan coming back for a part 3. As far as I'm concerned, there's no more that Chris can tackle but I'll let him prove me wrong.

Oh, and before you quote Prestige's script. I think it's been pretty much known when it was written and clearly specified and discussed by Nolan and the crew when and how hard was it to write the script. I believe Nolan than any news site out there. If there was nothing for a 3rd Batman after TDK, there aren't any. And the fact that they are still musing over the possibility just really means there's no Batman news until they tell us.
