Nothing bad about that. They want the competition and publicity to be about the new and primary characters of the film.

Crane is making an appearance; Cillian Murphy couldn't lie when being interviewed by Kermode & Mayo for the BBC. He'll be in it, no doubt.

Well, could he at least tell us if he’d be making a cameo as the Scarecrow in The Dark Knight Rises? (Mr. Murphy’s brief appearance in the beginning of the second Batman film was a delightful Easter Egg for the canon’s superfans.)

“Come on,” Mr. Murphy said. “The movie is coming out next month. Don’t make me answer that.” Okay, fine, fine. (We’re taking that as a yes.)

It really sucks that the Joker isn't gonna make an appearance even though I completely understand it. For Scarecrow to be in every movie and Joker to only be in one just seems odd to me. Hopefully the make up by have allusion to multiple baddies at
the Arkham breakout
a la Zsasz in BB.

The Joker is a far more larger than life character and better in small doses. Quality over quantity. Better to want more than to get too much and have his character lose impact.

If you really think that a Two-Face cameo with a comic bent would have been great in TDKR, then you have no appreciation for how the character was portrayed in TDK.

I never said that? Two face is dead. That would be stupid so don't put words in my mouth. I was more referring to the rumor that David8 told people about regarding
there being multiple characters actors hired to play characters not seen thus far for the Arkham break out.

I have the utmost respect for the portrayal.
