I completely agree. Michelle gave a great performance. It's the character itself that's overrated.

Yeah. Burton's writing screwed up the character IMO. He went way overboard into Burtonland for BR. That's why I do like the original Batman 89. It wasn't filled with too many "Burtonisms." Burton went typical Burton for BR, and that ruins it for me. Michelle did a great job with what she had, though.
