How people can judge a character based on a picture is beyond me. She is kneeling in front of an empty safe looking at God knows what and people say.. OMG SHES GONA SUCK!!!

No doubt Nolan will deliver as a masterpiece. I just need to see Hathaway on camera! I need a trailer to squelch my worries about her performance!

same here. I like the suit. Not big on the mask (reminds me of Batgirl too much). And Hathaway doesnt seem sexy from the very little we have seen, although she did transform. Some footage can change all that

but what do people think about Nolan saying Selina will not have a backstory?

I'm actually happy about it, that's why I said yesterday how she's combo of both The Joker and Harvey Dent ~ it gives her this aura of mistery and, since she's a woman, femme fatale - sexyness.

Exactly, her past film roles haven't defined her as a sex symbol unlike Marion Cotilliard, who simply glows with sexuality. Anne is gorgeous but with her most successful film being The Princess Diaries...I can't say I'm confident that she will deliver on the sensuality part?

Some trailer time is all we need to put those doubts to rest though. I like her not having a back story. She's sort of an enigma. Id rather Bane have the back story because the back story was absent for the Joker in the last film. Part of the intrigue was that no one knew his motivations, but I don't want to see that duplicated. Bane's motivations are what drive this story. It would be ridiculous for him to destroy Gotham for the fun of it.

Maybe, Nolan didn't want her to play the character that way. He may have re-envisioned the character as not being predominantly sexy. From the stuff we have seen, she seems more emo-punk-grunge than femme fatale.
