Are you serious? :problem: So what, if Burton showed us Joker's past or if Alan Moore explained it in detail, Nolan was wrong with his choice? This is not simply Bane, this version is actually the definitive Bane.

exactly

I wouldn't want the "Bane" from the comics. This is Nolan's creation. I want to see what Nolan thinks is best. If you don't, then do not go to see the movie.

Nolan already responded to the gripe about Bane's origin with 1 line... "it doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan"

i didnt see any significant tan, but if there was one it was probably unintentional from being outside...they did film during the summer, afterall

I wonder if Tom incorporated the features of the comic book mask, specifically the big red eyes, into his imagination work on Bane

also, interesting Inception connection. The TDKR Bane mask is said to be inspired by this painting of a Baboon by Francis Bacon

correct me if I'm wrong but weren't his paintings featured in the opening of the Inception

Hardy says the much-talked-about voice he developed for the role was inspired by his desire to honor the comic character's brains and heritage, albeit in an elliptical way. He wanted a sound that conveyed malevolence and old-soul wisdom.

"There were two doors we could walk through. We could play a very straight forward villain or we could go through this very quirky door, which was totally justified by the text but may seem very, very stupid." Not surprisingly, Hardy chose the second option. "It's a risk because we could get laughed at, or it could be very fresh and exciting."

Hell yeah man. I think I like this Bane even better than the comic version. Of course I need to see it in action before I make that final, but I definitely like the design better. This is one of my favorite costume designs we have seen in Nolan Batman. Joker, Bane, and Catwoman (contrary to most people, it seems) are my favorite costumes. I have liked them all though, I think the only one I was ever disappointed with was Scarecrows costume and that's about it.

Seeing this Bane in action though is going to be an epic experience. I want to see how he goes from running around the city of Gotham, hiding, wearing different disguises, taking over places with his henchmen... to the Bane that is the KING OF GOTHAM, walking outside of city hall with that bad ass coat LIKE A BOSS.

hey, dont try and catch me on the wrong foot here. i think bane in this movie looks asbadass as ever, but FOR ME, it woulda been better to just change the name of the villain and it would be acceptable. i loved the dark knight and i embrace nolan's vision. telling me to not go see the movie is a horrible piece of advice.
