To be fair, it could simply be a tagline. We definitely have a tendency to over-emphasize every single detail, down to the characters that legitimately are just characters for a single scene. It's what we do. And I love us for it. But taglines can just be taglines. And they can be created specifically for misdirection, or created simply to state that it is the end of the trilogy so you better go see this movie.

[SPOILERS] TDKR Plot Speculation

Post RyanRises June 21, 2012, 11:27 pm

I posted this before. SPOILERS this is from reading comics watching all set videos and reading nearly every article about TDKR
Do not bash this its my opinion on the movies major plot. It is origional not written before on the Internet.
TDKR secret files book reveals that; Bane was kicked out of the league of shadows for using overly violent behavior. Revealed through an interview with Tom Hardy, Bane is about the same age as rahs al ghul. Continuing their goal to take down Gotham bane will try to do what the league of shadows could not. More Spoiler... Reading the comics and paying close attention to every peice of footage, Bane will stage an arena style fight with Batman. This happened in the comics, but with Bane inviting goons from around Gotham to try to de-thrown him and prove themselves as his adversary, and the new leader of his underground army. Bane never loses. In the “Let the games begin!” shot from the MTV movie awards clip Bane is seen offering a challenge to Batman. As established through set pieces and trailer clips there will be an arena style fight with Batman. One shot in the trailer has Bane with a remote control, turning on large light (like at a football field). The fight will take place in an abbandoned construction site (modified for no escape). The stage is in the middle as both challengers fight to their deaths. In the first teaser trailer, Batman is backing up from Bane, this will be the arena which is surrounded by spectators including Gotham’s underworld. More shots are seen throughout the trailers.

Will Bane break the Bat or will Batman overcome this challenge and save Gotham. Mattew Modine recently stated "Legends don't die, you see. People die but legends live - and what Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale have created with this story will be stuff of legend."

Ill be there when the legend ends. Nolan has direct influence on the release of any promotion but we don't know...

Also no one has talked about how Batman will be known as a legend and a hero if he is known for killing Dent, Gothams true hero. How will Batman rise if he is still a vigilant murderer. Will Gordon give up the truth. Because the only people who know the truth are Batman/ Bruce Wayne and Gordon and his family. With Harvey Dent day establishing dent in fame and forever mourning his death. Gordon cannot be commissioner if he has lied and aided batman.

We have. For months. We still do, in fact.

Bane exploits Harvey Dent... and releases the prisoners he prosecuted. Bane's Revolution gains support because of this political cover-up. He turns the city against itself. And in the end, Gotham's true hero is Batman.

We have talked about things similar but this idea is not just the fact that they are lying but how the future will play outnwith this issue. After Bane is out of the way.

This is what I think too. It's just a tag line. The fire rises turned out to be one of Bane's lines. The legend ends should then be too. Bane is out to destroy Batman's legacy, so it makes sense that he would say something a kin to that. "The legend ends, mr. Wayne "

[SPOILERS] TDKR Plot Speculation

Maybe. The fact that its the final movie. But do you know when that id asks "do you think hes coming back" and he knows who batman is. I believe hislegend as a hero was spread in his absence like a cult following. With the bat graffiti all over Gotham to re inspire him to come back. An aspect of Batman's life was also what the people thought of him.in their minds he is a shadowy figure who goes around at night to protect Gotham. The fact that Batman will be a legend will definatly be present.
