My apologies if my bit of input is a repeat of previous statements. There are 11 pages to sift through and I'm just not in the mood to do so.
I personally like the idea of him dying and inspiring Gotham to better itself. This is very remminiscent of the initial result of his father's death. At first everyone mourns, but the mob takes this moment of clarity as weakness and exposes...hence Batman was needed to begin with. With Batman ridding the city of its worst adversaries and dying in the process, he would become a martyr. Possibly the only threat they would have left after his detah would be the Joker...providing his outcome isn't sealed in an in between story somewhere.
Basically I see this ending like the Harry Potter series. Tons of deaths with enough damage done to the public to cause them to take control of themselves.
Batman 3 should end unlike anything predicted in this thread. And that's the way I hope it ends. I'd hate to think we all predicted the ending to Nolan's Batman trilogy. Which is why I don't think he'll die. That's so unexpected that it is expected. Just like The Dark Knight Rises is so simple of a change and yet none of us predicted it, the same will likely be for the ending. It will be an obvious closing and make perfect sense for the story and yet be unpredictable at the same time.
Bruce Wayne won't get married or killed... he'll still fight on as Batman... it'll end with the usual Gordon/Batman speech "you don't have to thank me" but this time Batman will thank Gordon, cue montage... cut to black... THE DARK KNIGHT RISES....credits.

I hope it isn't obvious! But we've predicted that he'll die, and wont die, respectively. So I think we've kinda hedged our bets here.
Of course, it's still a toss up how he'll die or not die.

And please, leave out the ambiguous stuff. I don’t need Batman to die only for the film to zoom in on his fingers, have them twitch, then cut to credits.
I agree.
Anyway, I really don't think anyone is predicting Batman to die. I think some of us would just LIKE to see that happen. I personally don't think it'll go down like that, but I really don't know what to predict besides one thing: If Batman gets married, his wife will die. It's a Nolan film. It must be done.
