Since the name "The Dark Knight Rises" got out, people have been very passionate about their opinions and has caused mass internet hysteria.
So I made up a poll to see what Nolanfans as a whole actually think about the name. Maybe there's a general consensus on the matter, or maybe we've just been hearing the loudest people, per se.
Following - Good
Memento - Wow!
Insomnia - Great
Batman Begins - Mmmm... Ok.
The Prestige - Great
The Dark Knight - Fantastic
Inception - Wow!
...
The Dark Knight Rises - Wtf? That's just "...". It's like unnolanish.
It's not bad bad, but not good either. It's just "eh".
I just hope the movie is fantastic.
Ditto.
I would've preferred that the new movie's title didn't include the words "The Dark Knight." It alienates Batman Begins.
The movie is going to kick some serious butt and I'm totally excited for it. Who cares about the title?
I was thinking the same thing - it alienates BB. This also suggests that Nolan is going for the look of TDK again as opposed to the one in Batman Begins - but seeing as it was so popular and so damn good, I've nothing against that decision. I've nothing against the title either. But it isn't incredible... though I guess that a name for a batman film can never be incredible... a name for an original film can be, but not part of a batman franchise really.
