As much as i'd love Marion to be the Catwoman - her character in Inception had so many various shades, just like Selina Kyle, and she pulled it off so amazingly - but i'd second akv's suggestion of casting Eva Green. She is one of the finest actresses of her age group with an amazing career already, from The Dreamers to Casino Royale. Would love to see Eva in the catsuit.

I have such a strong feeling Catwoman won't be in Batman 3. I really want to see her in it, and also think Marion Cotillard would be great, but something tells me, "No catwoman, and even if she is in the movie, Kinda don't think it'll be Cotillard. I just think it'd be a huge stretch to have so many Inception stars in Batman 3. People keep assuming Leo, Joe G-Levitt or Marion, are gonna be in it, and really I think Nolan is just gonna come out with it in when we've ran out of guesses. He's gonna cast it according to who fits, not who he's warmed up to on other sets.

She's been mentioned for awhile now as a possibility to play Catwoman -- a characters we've only heard whispers of maybe being in Batman 3 -- but now the buzz online is that Oscar winner Marion Cotillard has turned down the role.
While the original report at ComicBookMovie.com appears to have been removed, Scriptflags claims it said that Cotillard, who previously worked with Bat-director Christopher Nolan on Inception, was approached by Warner Bros. to play either Catwoman or Talia Al Ghul, daughter of Batman Begins villain Ra's Al Ghul, in the third installment of Nolan's rebooted franchise
The report supposedly said "Cotillard has had to turn down the offer as of now as she's unsure whether the planned shooting start date of the next Batman movie will clash with other projects she's either interested in or already committed to, despite the fact that she's reportedly keen to re-team team with Christopher Nolan."
If that article is true, that sucks. I really like her.
