I was expecting a diolouge scene with him. His face was only seen in 2-3 shots. He really got screwed like in TSN

POST OF THE DAY. I hope Mr Nolan reads this or his people do. It's no secret I want a directors cut and definitly do want to see these scenes. I don't want to come off as ungrateful, I just want to see the cuts edited in.

I do not think we will have a director's cut.

I just want extras better than the previous film.

Likelihood of a directors cut?

Tell me if this was posted before.
Costume designer Lindy Hemming has been talking about one of those scenes, in which Bane's backstory was fleshed out a little, including details surrounding just how Bane came to require that mask.

"The thing that you should have seen during that sequence is [Bane] being injured in his youth," says Hemming. "So one of the fundamental things about his costume is that he has this scar from the back injury. Even if he hasn’t got the bulletproof vest on, he still has to wear the waist belt and the braces."

"In that [deleted] scene in the prison, where he’s learning to fight the same way Batman learned to fight, he’s wearing an early version of his waist belt. There’s a whole early section for Tom Hardy where he’s fighting and being taunted by people. He’s got chains on him, and he’s standing on a wooden thing while people are attacking him. And in that scene, he’s wearing a much more ragged, primitive version of the mask."

And there we were thinking we couldn't wring any more excitement out of The Dark Knight Rises! Hopefully, said scene will be included on the DVD package, giving us even more of an insight into what put Bane on the road to becoming "Gotham's reckoning".

Likelihood of a directors cut?

Post Collector03601 August 9, 2012, 9:29 am

As much as I wish for the director's cut I don't think Nolan will do it. The only few deleted scenes ever present on a dvd release were on Insomnia and maybe the one scene on TDK (Joker in the bus). BB and TDK didn't need director's cut but I think TDKR deserves it. My only hope is that Chris would like to present what he first intended...

Likelihood of a directors cut?

If a Director's Cut is released for the Blu Ray, the one thing I'm hoping for is that the cut scenes are re-incorporated into the film seamlessly. It'd be a lot nicer watching a LotR-style comprehensive Extended Edition, rather than having the extra half-hour or so of material shunted into a 'deleted scenes' category that would have to be watched in isolation.
