I was wondering about the mayor. He was already mayor in TDK and TDKR takes eight years later and he is still the mayor.

Like many mayors he was re-elected several times. I dont think that he was a new mayor in TDK. He may have been in for 3 or 4 terms by TDKR.

not a plot hole by any means, just curious: r there any prisons in this world that is like the Blackgate Prison where there's no separation of male and female convicts?
