TDKR Academy Awards Predictions

After Aurora shooting I doubt TDKR will be nominated for Best picture, it will get 6-7 tech noms :cry:

I don't see why the Aurora shooting would affect TDKR's chances at a Best Picture nom. :think:

Academy doesn't want to seem like they're praising a violent film. What dicks.... As if The Hurt Locker, No Country for Old Men, and The Departed weren't violent.....

But just cuz there was a violent act during a showing of TDKR doesn't mean the Academy is promoting a violent film. Right?
Plus you got 10 noms in the Best Picture category.
I can only think of a few movies that could possibly be up for a nom.
1) The Dark Knight Rises
2) The Great Gatsby
3) The Master
4) Lincoln
5) Django Unchained
6) Skyfall [possible, but not likely]

I bet they'll still do a tribute at the Academy Awards for the victims of the shooting (if it's not completely forgotten by then, which I doubt it will be.) TDKR probably won't be mentioned though.

Well with Gatsby out of their plate, maybe that means that WB will have more resources to push TDKR.

Agreed, would love to see an IMAX re-release next January. I remember how furiously WB pushed TDK for awards season, TDKR will undoubtedly get similar treatment.
