I thinking it might be higher, domestically, since its the last one.George wrote:The Harry Potter franchise consistently averages just under $300 million domestically. Deathly Hallows Part I made $295 million domestically, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen did $402 million domestically. My money is on Dark of the Moon.

Oh, it'll definitely be higher.
It's going to definitely be higher. And remember, it's got 3D on it's side this time.

I agree that it'll definitely be higher, but I'm just not convinced it'll be high enough to top Transformers.TeddyBlass wrote:It's going to definitely be higher.
True, but so does Dark of the Moon.TeddyBlass wrote:And remember, it's got 3D on it's side this time.
I'm getting the feeling there's audience resistance to 3D lately. The majority of ticket sales for Pirates of the Caribbean 4 and Kung Fu Panda 2 came from 2D screens, despite the large amount of 3D screens and its emphasis in their advertising.
I hear ya. I mean, there's a reason why I have TF3 in my top spot. I just won't be surprised if DH2 manages to pull ahead is all.
Things are about to get interesting.

TF3 has now taken over the #1 spot with $261m. (see first post)
I want DH2 to murder it, but I don't think it will. $261m is a lot of money for just under two weeks.
Looks like we underestimated Potter a little bit. Just broke 3 or 4 records this weekend, including The Dark Knight's.
