I agree that it'll definitely be higher, but I'm just not convinced it'll be high enough to top Transformers.

True, but so does Dark of the Moon.

I'm getting the feeling there's audience resistance to 3D lately. The majority of ticket sales for Pirates of the Caribbean 4 and Kung Fu Panda 2 came from 2D screens, despite the large amount of 3D screens and its emphasis in their advertising.

I hear ya. I mean, there's a reason why I have TF3 in my top spot. I just won't be surprised if DH2 manages to pull ahead is all.

I want DH2 to murder it, but I don't think it will. $261m is a lot of money for just under two weeks.

Looks like we underestimated Potter a little bit. Just broke 3 or 4 records this weekend, including The Dark Knight's. :o
