This is a very old post but I just saw it and had to comment on it. This is even funnier now that we've seen TDKR and now know that Nolan chose to end his entire epic Batman trilogy in a cafe lol. What's up with Nolan and cafes?

I've noticed these a lot too. They're really well done, no fade-ins or odd effects. He literally just splices them in there so fast you really don't see them coming and it's surprisingly effective.
