Don't believe the hype. "3D" is an old idea that the big-time capitalist Cameron managed to Incept into the general audience with Avatard. That man made the 2 most predictable movies ever in succession, and now he is gonna milk that idea for all that he can with sequels as well. So that Nolan opposes it directly and instead goes for pure FILM, makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
I still will love Cameron for all that he did before Titanic tho. But damn him now.

There's not. That story has been debunked.

I think that's just one of those baseless rumors.

Care to share the debunk information with a link to something I can read? Couldn't find anything myself. The article does say it has not been formally announced, but:

He says that Warner Bros. is working on the conversion, but neither he nor Christopher Nolan are involved with it.

That and the story's been out for months without any updates. There's a chance it could come out eventually but I doubt it.

I think capitalism will win in this case. Tho, when it comes to cinema, Nolan will always stick to film and 2D I'm sure.

Nolan and Wally will always stick with 2D till the day they die and they will stick with 35mm until they feel as though it as been undeniably surpassed by a digital format. At which point, I think they might just start shooting everything with 65mm. (if they haven't already ;) )

And +20 for obviousness. When it comes to cinema Nolan has full control. But Blu-Ray? I don't think he really cares if it gets a 3D conversion. He does not get involved with it, but he understands that Warner makes a few more millions by doing so. A simple logical move by Warner considering the hype that has been sold.
